Students are offered the opportunity to engage in choice-based learning through a flexible scheme.

  • The students who have moderately agreed (32%) and
    below that (09%) was analyzed. The reasons were
    collected during the open houses which are held
    every year at the beginning of the semester.
  • The students expressed a desire for increased flexibility in selecting their subjects/courses, leading to an expansion of available options in elective courses.
  • The option of credit mapping with MOOCs was permitted.
The mid-degree option for career choice offers students an opportunity to select and advance in their desired career path.
  • Nano degrees have been introduced into the curriculum.
  • A cooperative advisory board meeting took place at Swami Vivekanad Group of Institutes, where industry experts shared knowledge with students about the benefits of making a career choice in the middle of their degree, which can lead to better career opportunities.

Action Taken

  • The curriculum, teaching learning and evaluation
    process of Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering & Technology is matching with
    the recent industrial requirements.
  • The university has sufficiently imparted the soft
    skills, technical skills, analytical reasoning etc.
    inside its students.
  • The university is progressing towards building the
    academia-industry gap by inculcating advanced
    techniques in teaching learning process as per the
    requirement of industry.

 

  • Although the information of the participants of this
    study in terms of soft skills, technical skills and
    decisiveness skill was not sufficient, they seemed
    to have a positive attitude and relatively
    acceptable performance in communication skills,
    general knowledge, aptitude skills and decisiveness
    skill.
  • Activity focuses on the personality development were
    done to make the students reliable, with a positive
    attitude and right decision making.
  • Conducting Expectation Management Workshops and
    arranging Motivational Talks for the students.
